We’re Back! With…
Thanks to a successful Irish Music Concert in July 2011 & donations from friends and a few vendors, the 13th annual Adams County Irish Festival will be held this summer at Gettysburg Moose Park.
Traditional Irish folk music will once again echo throughout the shady grounds of Gettysburg Moose Park as the Irish Heritage Foundation of Gettysburg (IHFG) will present the festival on Saturday July 21, 2012. The event will run from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and will feature an afternoon of fun for the whole family with Irish music plus food, beverage and some merchandise vendors. (Yes, there will be Guinness!)
Since its second annual festival in 2001, the Adams County Irish Festival has drawn thousands each year to Moose Park for southcentral Pennsylvania’s oldest and largest Irish festival.
Festival-goers will be entertained by our headliner, Seamus Kennedy. Also joining Seamus we have regional favorites, Irishtown Road and Kilshanny, both of which have performed at previous Adams County Irish
Festivals. Rounding out the lineup is another local band, Across the Pond.
Admission to the festival is $10, which includes all entertainment. Children
under 12 are admitted free and parking is free. Visitors are encouraged to
bring lawn chairs or blankets.
The festival will be held, rain or shine, at Gettysburg Moose Park (100 Moose
Road), located off of US Route 30, approximately 1.5 miles east of the US
Route 15 interchange. Please note that Moose Park is an outdoor venue in
a natural setting and there will NOT be any golf carts this year to shuttle people to and from the parking area.
Proceeds from the festival will benefit the Adams County Irish Festival and the
Irish Heritage Foundation of Gettysburg, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
Thank you to all who attended & supported
the festival over the last 11 years!
